City of Greater Sudbury Restoration Project
Decades of industrial mining and logging left the hills of Greater Sudbury bare and heavily contaminated. Building on previous community restoration, our reforestation project continues to rehabilitate Sudbury’s landscape with natural regeneration. By carefully selecting and planting native tree species, we are reviving local ecosystems with the goal of increasing biodiversity and improving habitat for wildlife. This effort is giving residents increased access to clean water, air, and recreational space.
Kedougou, Dakately & Kewey Agroforestry Project
The agroforestry project in Senegal is a community-driven land restoration initiative operating in areas where decades of peanut monocropping have degraded soils and left rural communities vulnerable. Farmers blend innovative agroforestry techniques with ancestral knowledge, and plant various species, including tamarind, bananas, and mangoes. This initiative rebuilds ecosystems while generating lasting food security and economic opportunity.
