Position Overview
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible primarily for the installation of residential HVAC systems, with a strong emphasis on ducted and ductless heat pump systems. This role is installation-focused and does not involve routine maintenance or full-service diagnostics, as those responsibilities are handled by designated service technicians. You will work both indoors and outdoors, including in confined spaces, and play a key role in delivering high-quality installations that meet TRALO's safety, performance, and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities
Installations
Perform residential HVAC installations with a strong focus on ducted and ductless heat pump systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, ventilation systems, and related components, ensuring all work meets safety codes, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
Service & Diagnostics (Limited)
Perform basic system start-ups, testing, and verification to ensure proper operation after installation (major servicing and diagnostics are handled by designated service technicians).
Customer Communication
Explain system operation, basic care, and proper usage to customers in a clear, professional, and friendly manner upon completion of installation.
Quality Assurance
Test and verify all installed systems to ensure proper performance, efficiency, and workmanship quality.
Documentation
Complete installation reports, compliance paperwork, and required job documentation accurately and promptly.
Safety Compliance
Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations while maintaining a safe work environment at all job sites, including indoor, outdoor, and confined space environments.
Qualifications
- Valid G2 Gas License (Required)
- Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) License (Required)
- 6+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience, with strong emphasis on ducted and ductless heat pump installations
- Solid understanding of HVAC installation practices, refrigeration fundamentals, and system commissioning
- Ability to work in confined spaces, including crawl spaces, attics, under decks, and tight mechanical areas
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Assets
313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic License/Certification is considered a strong asset
